Baraka, formed in 2006, is a World of Warcraft guild located on the PvP Server Gorgonnash.
We have over 200 members of mature gamers interested in all venues of PvE and PvP content. We are always looking for a few dedicated, and exceptionally skilled players to be part of our progression raid team. We do understand that most members have lives outside of WoW, so we raid progression content only a few days of the week. We do however expect those days to be productive so we do set standards in regards to our team.
Casual players are welcome to apply, as we do have a number of individuals that take part in casual content outside of raiding. Admission to Baraka however does not gaurantee a raid spot. Selection is based on skill, gear level and being a required class.
We have a ventrilo server to assist in your social experience and knowledgeable class leaders to help you with your class mechanics.
If you are interested in becoming a member please select recruiting from the navigation menu and check your status under recruiting in the forums. -

Baradin Hold; Agaloth
Blackwing Descent we have taken out Magmaw, Dark Iron Golem Council, Maloriak and Atramedes
Throne of Four Winds; Conclave of the Wind
Bastion of Twighlight; Valiona and Theralion, Halfus Wrymbreaker

Congrats to Wolfson on his new title "Wolfson loves to make you rage" - Grats on GM!

Their has been lots of discussion on the future of raiding with Baraka and with our new leadership we now have much more flexibility within the guild to make things happen more on this will be announced soon. In the meantime, Cataclysm releases in 5 days and counting, with this release underway Baraka has been getting fired up again. Many of our members have gained a second wind and are returning ready to experience the new content being provided to us all. In the Meantime here is the pro tip of the day!

If you don't get it.. Don't Ask :)

All raids have concluded for Wrath of the LichKing as we wait for the launch of Cataclysm.
Our 10 man team has finished a number of achievements including Glory of the Ice Crown Raider & Glory of the Ulduar Raider. We have also taken the opportunity to defeat Algalon the Observer.
Significant changes have been made to World of Warcraft over the last month creating a lull period within the guild, we expect raiding will continue once again at 85 but with some possible changes in the guild. It's still uncertain if 25man will be coming back but both our 10man teams will be reformed.
In the words of a once new recruit "Baraka gets the shit done!".

We are no longer running our 25man raid, until further notice, we will now be focused on our 10man groups for the remainder of this expansion. After a long 28 weeks+ of raiding and grinding ICC we've decided to take a much needed break. If you would like to participate in a Baraka 10man group contact Exarch, Lassiveran or Kisst.
Will 25man raids be back for Cata?
This depends on if the raids are worth our time to organize and the server population improves. Officers will discuss such things after the release. All raiders are of course welcomed to stay if you so choose but we understand if you wish to pursue other raid progressing guilds and wish you the best.
During the Lich King expansion Baraka has endured through all forms of criticisms and hardship but we accomplished everything we set out to do and 25 Baraka raiders now wear the Lich King title for the rest of time. However, we're not done yet we still have two solid 10man groups running weekly with achievements, mounts and pvp activities underway to keep us going.
Big thanks to all our officers for being dedicated and loyal to the success of our raiding and the few other individuals who have been with us from the start of ICC you guys made the grind worth doing!
Thank you for choosing Baraka.

Baraka has had it's highs and lows but through it all we have had one common goal, to defeat the Lich King on our 25man Raid Team. Now finally the moment has come and the Lich King has been defeated. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of all the Officers in Baraka in attending and pressing on every week to ensure the best raids possible. We have cycled through many raiders over the last couple months in search of individuals committed enough to help Baraka achieve this one moment, Great Job! everyone. I am proud to be a part of this guilds success and no matter what happens we will challenge our raid to every boss we encounter, we can and will succeed.Congratulations! Progression to 25man Hard Modes on the way!Click Image to Enlarge

Through blood, sweat and tears Baraka 25man has downed Halion yet again. Once again proving ourselves as a force to be dealt with and being more then capable of keeping up with the top guilds on the server and we will continue to press on. This beast of a dragon is the latest addition to Wyrmrest Temple slumbering in Ruby Sanctum awaiting to be challenged, her fire realm and shadow realm splits the raid apart and very quickly survival is the priority and coordination is the key.
congratulations 25man lets keep the fire burning! -

It is the 32nd year in the new age of Azeroth.and it has been a world of hostilities. Since the birth of the Lich King during the second war, year 7th by known records, all races have known personal strife. Long forgotten Old Gods, Timeless Dragons and Vile Demons all vanquised in their attempt for control of Azeroth. Only one true enemy remain, The Lich King.
Ovecoming their racial indifferences the races of the Horde have banded together to face such evils and have heard the call for the destruction of the Lich King. Warbands of Baraka banded together in what would be an almost suicidal attempt to defeat the Lich King. After successful defeating Arthas's greatest servants in his Tower of Ice, their final advesary lay before them. Sitting on his Frozen Throne, Arthas seemed unthreatened by Baraka's Warband, after quickly dispatching Tirion Fordring in a block of ice, the warband had one of the greatest fights for survival it has ever know.
Hearing the Warsong of Hellscream, the BarakaWarband had unwavoring vigor and push through all the Lich Kings defenses. From Shambling Horrors to Defile, from Valkyr to Vile Spirits, the Baraka warband would not be stopped. Then what seemed to be tragedy had struck. Utilizing what reremaining energies the Lich had, he killed the Warband and attempted to raise them as part of his new allies. In a last prayer to the forces of Light Tirion broke his shackles and raises the warband in an all out last assault on the Lich King.
Using every last strength the warband had to offer the Lich King had been defeated.
Congratulations to Baraka on this important victory.

Congratulations to the 25man team on the successful rescue of Valithria Dreamwalker.
Valithria Dreamwalker, a captured green dragon, is the first boss of the Frostwing Halls wing of the Icecrown Citadel raid. The encounter with Valithria is very unique, as players must heal her in order to save her but the massive waves of scourge soldiers will attempt to flood you and stop your efforts.
